I think I agree that we should increase payouts slightly, however this comes with a caveat: I do believe there should be some limiting factor to prevent everyone from easily acquiring a massive hangar full of three of everything. Money shouldn't be so freely available that no one is ever worrying about finances.

On other servers you´d maybe have gotten even less payout, depending on how long you played or so.
Effectively just 1 mek died, and that was a WASP...Payouts are not forcing anyone to play longer, but they encourage longer games with a certain amount of dead units. Plus, you gained EPs for repairs.
After all I also think a slight increase would be nice. I am short of money all the time so far, though that´s usual at the beginning of a campaign. Maybe we could turn them down a bit after we have developed a certain amount of meks or a certain quality in the hangars.
